LC4/5 Plus Velocity Drive

LC4 Plus Product Features
The LC4 Series, our popular line of PWM voltage mode runs directly from a 115 VAC, single phase line. No additional bulky, expensive DC power supplies or isolation transformers are required. Totally self contained, the LC4 is simple to set up and operates with any 3-phase brushless DC motor designed for high voltage (160 VDC), three phase operation. Available in either packaged or open frame configurations.
LC5 Plus Product Features
The LC5 series is an extra high voltage PWM variable speed motor control that runs directly from 208/230 volt AC. No additional bulky, expensive DC power supplies or isolation transformers are required. Designed primarily for export use, or where higher motor RPM's are required, these units have identical features as the LC4, but operate from an expanded 185 to 255 VAC, 50/60 Hz single phase input voltage range. The LC5 Series can be used with any 3-phase brushless DC motor designed for high voltage (302 VDC), three phase operation. Available in either packaged or open frame configurations.

Complete short circuit protection. Both phase to ground and phase to phase.
No more customer or shop assembly errors or bad motor windings to cause the loss of a driver. Inadvertent shorts in the motor or motor phase lines will result in the drive tripping off line and the annunciation of the fault. The fault may be cleared and the drive restarted without damage (once the short has been removed), by resetting the enable/disable line.

New and improved sensing and diagnostic circuitry
This improved circuitry is much less susceptible to high noise environments and the resulting false machine trips. Not only should your customers experience fewer machine trips, even in very noisy environments, but they will have an easier time determining if the problem really lies in the driver or elsewhere in the system.

New 1500 VAC 1 minute high pot capability
Automotion's intent for all of our products is to meet world wide agency requirements. The new LC4/5 "PLUS" series has been upgraded to meet the current requirements for UL and CSA with regard to minimum trace spacing, potential to ground clearance requirements, and other specifications dictated by these safety agencies. Automotion will subject all LC4/5 "PLUS" units to a 1500 VAC high pot test during routine manufacture.

Improved reliability and durability
Through consolidation of several auxiliary components and parts count reduction on the main power board of the LC4/5 "PLUS" design, Automotion has simplified manufacture of this product and improve overall reliability and durability. For example, aux. chokes, when required, are mounted to the main power board. In addition, the number of capacitors required for high voltage filtration has been reduced.

Expanded power ratings
With the upgrade and improvements made to the LC4/5 "PLUS" units we can now offer our customers new higher peak output ratings. For example, the 115 VAC LC4 now is available with a 20 AMP peak capability (the LC4D "PLUS") and a 15 amp peak output version is available on the 230 VAC input LC5 line (our new LC5C "PLUS") in the same package size and with the identical I/O structure.

New 2 Year Warranty
Automotion is so sure of the improved reliability and durability of this "New and Improved" LC4/5 "PLUS" product line that we are offering a new full 2 year warranty plan.
