 New DPS Digital Power Stage for OEM's

Automotion, Inc. announces the availability of a new Digital Power Stage for OEM embedded servo motion control applications. Incorporating over 15 years of power electronics design and manufacturing experience, Automotion's new DPS digital power stage product series offers the OEM motion engineer a tested and field proven servo-amplifier power platform for directly embedding his proprietary control functionality.
The DPS digital power stage provides all of the necessary isolation, fault protection, and AC power conditioning required for customer supplied control of a three phase AC or DC brushless motor. The flexible interface to the DPS power stage allows simultaneous Pulse Width Modulation of all six-output IGBT power transistors. Two isolated analog feedback signals provide high bandwidth sensing of motor current in two phases. This interface is compatible with the latest high performance third party motion control cards offering direct PWM and digital current loop control.
An integrated 20-Watt Universal Input logic supply is included for powering user control circuitry. All power side status conditions are presented through a serial interface.
Most importantly, all DPS products are designed, tested, and certified by independent safety testing agencies to meet the requirements of IEC950, EN60950, and UL1950 international compliance standards. CB scheme certificates and UL component recognition marks are available.
The DPS digital power stages come in three standard power ratings; 7/10 amp, 14/20 amp, and 21/30 amp continuous / peak. A single AC input, single or three phase, from 36 to 264 VAC, 50/60 Hz is all that's required to power up.
DPS platforms are designed for use in high volume OEM machine control applications where cost, performance, and system interconnection are optimized to application requirements in an internationally recognized compliant product package.
