New BLT-040 LV 48V Brushless Servo Motor

Automotion, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of the new BLT-040 series of low voltage brushless servo motors. The BLT-040 LV motors, manufactured by Infranor's Mavilor Motor division, measures just 41 mm (1.6 inches) square by 112 mm (4.4 inches) long. Construction is IP65 and all motors come with a built-in high-resolution encoder (2000 line typical) as standard.

Shown (on the left) with optional third party 40:1 gear reducer, the new BLT-040 LV motor series has winding options for 12, 24, and 48 VDC operation. When mated to Automotion's new ACS200 (shown on the right) low voltage all digital servo amplifiers, the BLT-040 can produce up to 0.28 Nm (2.5 in-lb.) of rated torque at up to 3000 RPM, while peak stall torque can be as high as 1.2 Nm (10.6 in. lb.). No load speed from 48 VDC is over 5000 RPM.

The matching Automotion ACS200 series low voltage, all digital, brushless AC servo amplifiers utilize a DSP-based architecture to provide software selectable Torque, Velocity, or Position Mode operation. Sine wave commutation using the BLT-040's high-resolution encoder provides smooth torque at low speeds for demanding motion control requirements found in medical robotic, direct drive, and linear motor applications.

The BLT-040 - ACS200 low voltage combination is part of Automotion's new generation of intelligent servo systems based upon Mavilor's advanced brushless AC motor designs and Automotion's latest DSP drive technology and supported with AutoMotionPLUS™, our easy-to-use Windows-based set up and tuning software with built-in graphical tuning and diagnostic capabilities.
