New ACS200 "Smaller-Smarter" Digital AC Servo Drive
Ann Arbor, MI
Automotion, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of our new ACS200 series low voltage, all digital, brushless AC servo amplifiers. Utilizing a DSP based architecture this new product provides software selectable Torque, Velocity, or Position Mode operation. Sine wave commutation provides smooth torque at low speeds for demanding motion control requirements found in robotic, direct drive, and linear motor applications.
The ACS200 utilizes an AC servo (flux vector) algorithm that provides higher dynamic response and better noise immunity when compared to older style servo amplifiers that use dual analog inputs, sine wave feedback, and analog multiplication techniques. The ACS200 provides motor commutation using quadrature encoder feedback and requires only one analog input signal for precise AC sine wave operation.
Measuring just 4.5" (114mm) by 3.0" (76mm) by 1.0" (25mm) overall, and weighting less than 8 oz. (218g) this compact amplifier can output over 720 watts of peak power. The ASC200 operates using a single supply inputs of +5 to +48 VDC for motor power. The ACS200 is rated at 7.5 Amps continuos output current and 15 Amps peak. Designed for use with low voltage DC, Brushless DC, or Brushless AC permanent magnet motors the ACS200 offers both an RS232 serial communications and a CAN hardware interface as standard.
The ACS200 is part of Automotion's new generation of intelligent servo-amplifiers based upon advanced DSP technology and is supported with our easy to use AutoMotion Window's based setup and tuning utility. With it's built in graphical tuning and diagnostic capabilities the ACS200 brings a new level of motion control application flexibility and efficiency to Automotion's OEM customers. Availability is Stock to 8 weeks.
